What do Methodists believe?

What is the mission at FUMC of Lawrenceville?

Our church's mission is "to make disciples of Jesus Christ who love God, love others and reach the world."

When are the Worship Services?

We offer three different worship services, each taking place Sunday mornings in the Sanctuary:

- 8:00 a.m. - Traditional with the Sanctuary Choir
- 9:30 a.m. - Blended with a praise band
- 11:00 a.m. - Traditional with the Chancel Choir

What should I wear?

Many of our attendees wear "Sunday Best", but most everyone wears what is comfortable for them. Don't worry about what you wear - just come to worship God and get to know us.

What should I bring?

You can bring your Bible if you have one. While each of our worship services is Bible-based, Bibles are provided in the Sanctuary pews for your convenience.

How do I get to the church?

We are located at 395 West Crogan Street, just outside of downtown Lawrenceville. Click here for a map and directions.

How do I find my way around the buildings?

Look for our Welcome Desk when you enter the Welcome Center, in the lobby next to the Family Center. There you can find volunteers who are ready to help you and your family find your way. Click here for a building map.

How do I find a Sunday School class?

We offer a variety of Sunday School classes for all age groups. You can find more detailed information at the Sunday School pages for Adults, College, Students and Children.

Do you have a nursery?

Yes, nurseries are provided on Sundays for all three adult worship services. Click here to see our available nursery rooms.

What can my children do?

We have excellent programs for children. Greeters at the Welcome Desk can assist you in getting your children to class.

Do you have activities for teenagers?

Absolutely. Visit our Elevate Student Ministry pages for all the details on exciting activities and to learn how you can get connected.

May I participate in Communion?

Holy Communion is celebrated multiple times during the year at all morning services. United Methodists practice open communion; all present may receive communion if they so desire.

How do I find a place to serve?

We offer many current and ongoing volunteer opportunities for church members to get involved. Take a look at our Volunteer Opportunities page to learn more.

How do I find out what's going on at FUMC of Lawrenceville?

We have several opportunities for you to find out how to get involved and see what's going on. One way is to check out our News & Events page on the website. You can also subscribe to our weekly Epistle, which will send you the weekly events coming up to your e-mail inbox. Some upcoming events are also listed on the front page of the weekly bulletin you receive on Sunday morning.

How can I become a member?

New members are received at the close of Sunday morning services. If you wish to join, feel free to come forward at the invitation during the last hymn in Sunday worship, or contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Can I get a copy of the church budget or financial reports?

It is our goal to be 100% transparent in dealing with the budget and financial reporting of our church.
