Street GRACE
FUMC of Lawrenceville is an official Street GRACE church partner.
Street GRACE (Galvanizing Resources Against Child Exploitation) partners with churches in Atlanta and throughout Georgia to work against child sex trafficking. The average age of entry for most of these children is between 12 and 14, although children as young as 8 and 10 have also been exploited. Georgia is recognized by the FBI as a hub for the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC). As informed and impassioned churches, together we form a "common voice" to serve as a provocateur in the local community to resource, equip and enable others to also champion the cause of the vulnerable and defenseless.

Darkness to Light Workshop
According to childwelfare.gov, approximately 90% of teenage prostitutes were sexually abused before the age of 16. Keep an eye out: we are working to schedule a workshop hosted by Stewards of Children to learn how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. Cost of the training will be $15 and will be open to any adult who cares about the protection of children.
