Prayer Blankets & Shawls

Jesus said, "Just as I have loved you, you should also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples." ~ John 13:34-35

The Prayer Blanket and Prayer Shawl Ministries allow us to share God's love, comfort and healing with those who are going through difficult situations in life.

In each ministry, ladies meet together to share Christian fellowship while creating blankets, shawls, afghans, lap robes, chemo caps, preemie caps and other items to be given to those experiencing challenging circumstances, such as hospitalization, grief, chronic illness, or other difficult times.

All of the items are prayed over and are a tangible reminder of God's love and the support of the church.

There are several ways you can get involved:

• Join the Prayer Blanket Ministry or Prayer Shawl Ministry when they meet on Wednesdays to help sew, knit or crochet items.
• Sew or knit a blanket or shawl at home if you can't make it to the Wednesday meetings.
• Donate fleece, yarn or supplies for sewing, knitting and crocheting.
  

When We Meet

Prayer Shawl Ministry: Tuesdays, Room 311, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
                                     Wednesdays, Rooms 308/309, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Prayer Blanket Ministry: Wednesdays, Rooms 128/130, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
