6th Grade

The 6th grade ministry, or J12, is a collaborative ministry supported by Kids Zone Children's Ministry and Elevate Student Ministry. J12 stands for Jesus at 12, and reminds us that Jesus was once a preteen too, who also experienced the challenges of adolescence!

J12 is a ministry designed specifically for 6th graders that partners with parents to facilitate the transition from Kids Zone to Elevate by surrounding them with loving adults in a safe environment of their peers. In J12, the students will explore their faith, affirm Biblical truths and begin to discover what it means to live as young men and women of God!

J12 Confirmation Experience
The ritual of confirmation has a rich history in the Christian tradition signifying an important moment in the life of the individual being confirmed. It is a response of faith to the gracious covenant into which God baptizes us.  Confirmation is not simply about becoming a full member of the church. Instead, Confirmation is a person’s first public affirmation of the faith of the church as being his or her own faith. The person being confirmed is taking responsibility for living as a member of the body of Christ and for fulfilling God’s purposes in his or her life. .
